About Us

Jiten moved from the UK to Toronto in 2014 with a dream of one day opening his own bakery. After working in financial sales, he realized the city was missing quality donuts. Determined to fill the gap, he set out to create the best donuts in Toronto.
After three years of experimenting and perfecting recipes, Jiten opened the first Dipped location in Kensington Market in 2018. Seven years later, it’s still going strong as a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike.

Toronto’s premier destination for handcrafted gourmet donuts and baked goods. Since 2018, we’ve been dedicated to elevating your donut experience with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a passion for perfection. Our journey began with a simple idea: to bring people joy through innovative, artisanal treats that celebrate the love of donuts

At Dipped, we believe that every bite should be an unforgettable experience. That’s why our donuts are crafted with care. From classic flavors to inventive monthly creations, there’s always something fresh and exciting waiting for you.

Our commitment to quality extends beyond donuts. We have created a series of monthly drops of our baked goods – from cookies, tiramisu pies, sticky toffee buns and our famous Smore’s bar to tickle your tastebuds when you’re not feeling a donut!

We also have a carefully curated coffee menu to complement your favorite treats. Whether you’re visiting us at one of our cozy locations or enjoying a custom catering order, we strive to make every moment special.

Dipped is proud to be a part of Toronto’s vibrant community. Over the years, we’ve partnered with leading companies like Google, Quadreal estate, TD, CIBC, Shopify, X and Spotify to share our creations at events and celebrations. We’re also dedicated to serving our local neighborhood with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere.

We are a young group of Toronto’s finest and edgiest bakers which means we got some serious aesthetics going on. From the graffiti to the JDilla tribute to the giant mixer nicknamed Dr. Dre. We have created a vibe that suits our Kensington Market Location.

We love being creative and we are constantly coming up with new ideas (like, hiding an entire Ferrero Rocher in a donut bomb).

These are yeast donuts, airy, fluffy, and spongy, the lighter-than-air structure instantly collapsing as soon as you sink your teeth in.

These are high quality gourmet donuts which means we take our process seriously. Our Proofing time varies depending on the donut but the dough usually takes around 20 minutes to rise, on busy days you may have to wait a bit for a fresh batch of your favourite donut if we’ve just run out but that is when you know THESE DONUTS ARE WORTHWHILE.

Fresh donuts are then dipped into glazes made from ingredients sourced right here in Kensington Market.

Nutty Chocolate Berry donuts are glazed with dark chocolate, topped with an organize raspberry drizzle and hand-chopped toasted hazelnuts, giving off the flavour profile of an elegant dessert though the warm, chocolatey donut is appropriately messy.

Cookies n’ Cream donuts have a rich cream cheese glaze topped with crushed Oreo cookie crumbs and half an Oreo.

The glaze for London Fog donuts is made with organic Earl Grey tea from nearby cafe Moonbean. With a little vanilla for a sweet, almost milk flavour, this donut is fragrant and darn near sophisticated.

Moonbean coffee is also used for the glaze on Viet Coffee donuts, cutely topped with a dark chocolate espresso bean.

Donuts with a rosewater glaze and roast hand-chopped pistachios follow more of a Middle Eastern flavour profile.

Mocha Filled donut bombs are rolled in a sugar containing espresso also sourced from Moonbean, somewhat obviously filled with a rich, dense, chocolatey mocha pastry cream.

Our Maple Bacon bomb is the piece de resistance, the airy donut hole filled with sweet maple pastry cream that harmonizes almost sinfully with smoked bacon from Sanagan’s across the street.

The donuts here don’t rely on gimmicks or outrageous toppings to get their point across; just quality flavours.
